## UI Localization with Figma and Crowdin

Create clear multilingual user interfaces. Prototype with the real copy, send new strings for translation with the keys and screenshots. Preview translated mockups with the strings you’ve used.

Collaborate with copywriting and development teams on UI localization. Synchronize content between Figma, Crowdin, and your repo.

1. **Upload content to your Crowdin project**. Add it manually, or connect your repository for instant text synchronization.

2. **Start creating the source mockups**. Select the Text layer and click the copy you want to add from the list. Right-click the string to mark it as unused.

3. **Send new strings with the keys to Crowdin**. Select the entire frame, multiple frames, or text elements on the frames to export strings. Set up key naming patterns in the Plugin Settings to add identifiers automatically.

4. **Upload screenshots for the mockups where you used the source strings**. The screenshots will be visible for translators in Crowdin.

5. **Preview translated versions** of the source mockups and customize them before the development starts.

6. **Streamline the development** by utilizing the [Figma Dev Mode](https://www.figma.com/dev-mode/) to quickly inspect the needed text layer and get all the information about the string.
