``` ## File Recognition Mechanism To correctly identify MadCap Flare files and distinguish them from standard HTML or XML documents, Crowdin uses a recognition mechanism based on both the file extension and the file content: 1. **File Extension:** The uploaded file must have one of the supported extensions (e.g., `.flsnp`, `.flgpl`, `.htm`, `.html`, `.xhtml`). 2. **Namespace Declaration:** The system scans the root `` tag of the document. If the tag contains the `xmlns:MadCap` namespace attribute (for example, ``), Crowdin automatically applies the MadCap Flare parser. If a file has a generic extension (like `.html` or `.htm`) but lacks this namespace declaration, Crowdin will process it using the standard HTML parser instead.
