# TM Cleaner

> TM Cleaner allows you to remove duplicated TM records from your TMs.

TM Cleaner is designed to clean TMs from duplicated TM segments. Once the TM is processed by the TM Cleaner app, only unique TM segments will remain. Additionally, TM Cleaner creates a backup TM with all original TM records. On the main page of the TM Cleaner, you can use the **Search** field to find the needed TM by name. To update the list of TMs, click **Refresh TM list** in the upper right corner.


To remove duplicates from the TM, follow these steps:

1. Open the TM Cleaner app and select the needed TM from the list.
2. In the appeared dialog, you'll see the number of TM translation units and languages contained in the TM. Click **Remove Duplicates** to start the processing of your TM.
