**Translation Alignment** app makes it simple to align source and target texts when you upload translated files to Crowdin. App uses AI to find the right matches between your source file and your translated file.

Even if your strings are out of order or your files don't use a key-value structure (like a `.docx` or `.pdf`), this app guarantees accurate alignment.

## Key Features

- Uses AI to semantically match source and target strings.
- Handles misaligned text order (the app can match text even if the strings in the target file are in a different order than the source file).
- App handles complex cases when the number of source and target strings does not match.
- Aligns translations in files without key-value structure, including: `.txt`, `.log`, `.md`, `.rtf`, `.pdf`, `.doc`, `.docx`, `.odt`, `.ppt`, `.html`, `.xml`
- Choose from pre-written AI prompt or create your own custom prompt in Crowdin's AI settings.
- App recommends an AI model, but you have the option to select a different model in the settings.

## Getting Started

1. Install App from Crowdin Store.

2. Make sure that your project contains a source file and all target languages are selected in the  project settings.

2. Find the **Translation Alignment** app in Extensions tab.

3. Select an AI Prompt (you can adjust it in **AI** settings).

4. Select AI model (be sure, that you have a balance on Crowdin or your API key is connected)

5. Go to **Translations** tab and upload target file. Select, which file is the source file.

6. Review your aligned translations.
