Translate Xbox Live service configuration XMLs in Crowdin using this app.

## How It Works

This app functions as a custom file format processor. When installed to a Crowdin project, XML files matching the Xbox Live localization format will be processed automatically.

### Step 1: Prepare Your XML

Export your localization XML from Xbox Partner Center. The file should follow the standard Xbox Live Service Config format with `<LocalizedString>` elements.

### Step 2: Configure Your Crowdin Project

**Important:** The source language of your Crowdin project must match the `DevDisplayLocale` in your XML file. For example, if your XML uses `en-US` as the development locale, set your Crowdin project source language to "English, United States".

### Step 3: Upload and Translate

Upload the XML file to the Sources section. The app extracts all translatable content and groups strings by type:

- **Achievements** — Names, locked descriptions, and unlocked descriptions

- **Rich Presence** — Status strings shown on player profiles

- **Stats** — Display names for player statistics

- **Other Strings** — Any additional localized content

### Step 4: Export Translations

Download the translated file. The export maintains the original XML structure with all your translations included, preserving string order and formatting.

## WYSIWYG Preview

The app provides a visual preview that groups strings by category with Xbox-styled presentation. Linguists can see string IDs alongside their translations, making it easy to understand context and ensure translations work well.

## Language Mapping

The app automatically maps between Crowdin language codes and Xbox locale codes (BCP-47 format). Supported languages include all Xbox-supported locales such as en-US, de-DE, fr-FR, es-ES, ja-JP, and more.

If your Crowdin project includes target languages not present in the original XML, they will be added to the export automatically.
