The AI Proofreader Agent functions as an additional user in your project, designed to handle proofreading tasks automatically.

How It Works:

Manager Permissions: To operate, the agent requires manager-level permissions. Think of it as one user who knows all languages and can perform the work of an entire proofreading team—only much faster.

Custom Prompts and Modes: For each project, you can configure a unique prompt that guides how the agent will proofread. Choose between:

Translation Changed Mode: The agent starts proofreading when a translation is updated or added.

Tasks Mode: The agent processes tasks one by one when they are assigned.

Setting up the AI Proofreading Agent

1. Install the App: Choose the projects where the agent will be available. It will then appear in the Tools section of the project, as well as in the profile (Crowdin) or organization (Crowdin Enterprise) sections of the left-hand menu.

2. Configure and Enable the AI Prompt:

After installation, navigate to the AI section (also in the left-hand menu). A new prompt titled AI Proofreader Default Prompt will be automatically created with the type custom:proofread-agent and the "Other Languages Translations" checkbox selected. These settings are essential for the AI Proofreader Agent to function. Choose your provider and model, then enable the prompt.

3. Set Up the Agent: Return to the AI Proofreader Agent app and select the projects where it will operate. Customize the agent by selecting a project from the list, choosing the appropriate prompt, languages, and other settings, then enable the agent for that project.

4. Start Proofreading: Depending on the mode you've chosen (working on tasks/after translation updates, or both), you can begin the proofreading work. Assign the proofreading task to your proofreaders and select the AI Proofreader Agent as the assignee. Alternatively, update or add new translations to trigger the agent to start automatically.

5. Ensure Provider Balance: Make sure you have sufficient funds in your AI provider account to ensure smooth operation.
