Terminology Extraction

Simple Term Extractor app makes it easy to create a termbase from your Crowdin project files. The app offers three extract technologies to choose from: a traditional statistical method, a machine learning-powered method, and AI Extract that uses Large Language Models (LLMs). You can use all these methods to compare and determine which one works best for your project.

AI Extract

The Simple Term Extractor includes a "Prompts" tab, enabling users to customize extraction prompts. This setup introduces a tailored extraction method on the extraction screen for streamlined use.

Focusing on one language at a time, the Simple Term Extractor allows for deeper analysis of each term. Unlike the Multilingual Terminology Extractor, which promotes consistency across languages, this tool provides managers with a precise termbase that supports both human and AI translators.

For an enhanced workflow, the Simple Term Extractor works well alongside the Multilingual Terminology Extractor—a feature available to Crowdin Enterprise clients on Business plans or higher. Linguists can first build and define an initial term list with the Simple Term Extractor, then extend it with multilingual translations to maintain consistent terminology across languages.
