ELAN AI Bridge is ELAN Languages' proprietary AI infrastructure designed to support a range of AI-driven, language-oriented use cases, including LLM-powered machine translation.

The app dynamically collects different types of context, including glossaries, style guide instructions, and information about the intended impact and target audience of the translation task. In addition to supporting large language models from multiple providers, the app allows bundling of strings into larger input chunks, bypassing the traditional single-sentence paradigm.

More than an off-the-shelf set of models and tools, ELAN AI Bridge delivers a customized language experience designed to meet user needs.

How to set up

1. Click the Install button on this page to add the app to your Crowdin account.
2. Enter your ELAN AI API key to enable the integration.
3. Optionally, enter your Organization ID if you belong to multiple ELAN organizations.
4. For Crowdin Enterprise users: Go to the Machine Translation section and create a new MT engine using ELAN AI.
5. To upload glossaries: In the Glossary management section, right-click on a glossary and select Upload to ELAN AI.
6. To configure translation settings per project: Go to the Tools section in your project.

Project settings

In the Tools section of your project, the following parameters can be configured:

1. The glossaries to use for translation
2. The domain of the content to be translated
3. The AI provider to be used (Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, or OpenAI)
4. The preferred context window (we recommend Bucketing)
