SurveyMonkey localization with Crowdin

Crowdin gives you a single view of all translation work - see which surveys are translated, which languages are complete, and what changed in the source content.

Crowdin provides visual context that SurveyMonkey's basic exports don't have. Translators see exactly where their text appears in the survey, leading to better quality translations.

SurveyMonkey is an online platform used to create, send, and analyze surveys, polls, and quizzes. It is a popular tool for collecting data for market research, customer feedback, employee experience, and academic purposes. Users can create surveys using a variety of question types and disseminate them through web links, email, or by embedding them on a website, then analyze the results using built-in tools.

Setting up the SurveyMonkey connector

After installing the application, you will find it in your project Integrations section.

Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your SurveyMonkey account.

Manual synchronization

To import content for translation from SurveyMonkey, follow these steps:

1. Open the SurveyMonkey integration.
2. In the SurveyMonkey section (right panel), select the files that should be translated.
3. Click Sync.

To export translations to SurveyMonkey, follow these steps:

1. Open the SurveyMonkey integration.
2. In the left section, select the files that will be synced to SurveyMonkey.
3. Click Sync to SurveyMonkey.

Auto content synchronization

To automatically import content for translation from SurveyMonkey choose files and click Scheduled sync in the right panel in the SurveyMonkey integration. The file you chose will be pushed once at a scheduled time (by default, it is done once a day). The same button is used to export translated files from Crowdin to SurveyMonkey (in the left panel). You may disable this by clicking Disable Sync.
