The ICU Message Format Helper assists translators with the translation of strings with an ICU Message

Setting up the App

Simply install the App, open the Editor, open the App by clicking on the icon on the Right sidebar, and select a string with an ICU Message.

Usage

The Helper will display all possible forms of the string in the current target language in tabs. You can easily switch between the tabs with Tab and Shift+Tab keyboard shortcuts.

The Helper will assist you with the following forms of ICU Message:

• plural
• select
• selectordinal (ordinals)
• select with plural inside
• select with selectordinal (ordinals) inside
• plural with select inside
• selectordinal (ordinals) with select inside

Before setting the translation, you can check a live preview of the translated ICU Message under Translation preview.

After you set the translation by clicking on the Set translation button, you can click on the Save button in the Editor (or use the keyboard shortcut) to save the translation.
