If you're currently using a Google Sheets to manage your localization keys, you now have the option to integrate it with professional translation tools using this app.
There are several benefits to continuing to use a spreadsheet while taking advantage of the features that Crowdin can offer. For example, you may already have the spreadsheet connected to your build system, and your team may be accustomed to using it, so introducing a new software may not be necessary. However, building a comprehensive localization system using Google Sheets can be challenging. With this app, you can find a compromise and get the best of both worlds.
Note: This application can only sync multilingual spreadsheets with Crowdin. If you are looking for a way to translate regular Google Drive files or spreadsheets, please see the following application Google Drive Integration
Important: This application does not resolve conflicts. We recommend having either Crowdin or Spreadsheet as the source of truth for source texts and translations. You can use Google Sheets as the source of truth for new rows and Crowdin as the source of truth for translations.
If you have a multilingual Google Sheet file with one column for the source language and multiple columns for target languages, you can easily integrate it with Crowdin using our app.
After installing the app, you can configure it and map your columns to the relevant fields in Crowdin. The following fields can be mapped:
Key
Source Text
Target Languages (all project languages)
Labels
Context
Translation Max. Length
Don't worry if you have more columns or some of these fields are missing – the integration will not affect the rest of your spreadsheet.
It's worth noting that this integration will only sync the first sheet from your Google Sheet document.
After installing the application, you will find it in your project Integrations section.
Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your Google Sheets account.

To automatically import content for translation from Google Sheets choose files and click Scheduled sync in the right panel in the Google Sheets integration. The file you chose will be pushed once at a scheduled time (by default, it is done once a day). The same button is used to export translated files from Crowdin to Google Sheets (in the left panel). You may disable this by clicking Disable Sync.
Crowdin is a platform that helps you manage and translate content into different languages. Integrate Crowdin with your repo, CMS, or other systems. Source content is always up to date for your translators, and translated content is returned automatically.
