Google Shared Drives localization with Crowdin

Translate your Google Shared Drives content with ease. Setup integration once, define your localization workflow and spend less time managing translations.

Shared drives are special folders in Google Drive that you can use to store, search, and access files with a team. Shared drive files belong to the team instead of an individual. Even if members leave, the files stay in the shared drive so your team can keep sharing information and work anywhere, from any device.

Setting up the Google Shared Drives connector

After installing the application, you will find it in your project Integrations section.

Follow the instructions on the screen to connect your Google Shared Drives account.

Manual synchronization

To import content for translation from Google Shared Drives, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Shared Drives integration.
2. In the Google Shared Drives section (right panel), select the files that should be translated.
3. Click Sync.

To export translations to Google Shared Drives, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Shared Drives integration.
2. In the left section, select the files that will be synced to Google Shared Drives.
3. Click Sync to Google Shared Drives.

Auto content synchronization

To automatically import content for translation from Google Shared Drives choose files and click Scheduled sync in the right panel in the Google Shared Drives integration. The file you chose will be pushed once at a scheduled time (by default, it is done once a day). The same button is used to export translated files from Crowdin to Google Shared Drives (in the left panel). You may disable this by clicking Disable Sync.
